This is perhaps the most emotionaly charged painting I've done to this day. I can only look at it seconds at a time. You see, when I was about seven my father and I where walking home from school when a horrible accident happened. On the sidewalk, across from my school, was a local artisan selling. Next to her , on the sidewalk, was her baby girl rapped in a mexican shaw, sleeping, unaware that a truck was backing up too far onto the side walk and onto her. My father tried to shield me but perhaps he too was in shock. Yes, curiosity got the best of me and I regret that it did. The little girl was about five, and my painting depics her in her impossible adulthood.
Thanks for reading.
